About

Shannon Holland, owner and jewelry designer of Many Moons Emporium, is a veritable Renaissance woman. Through elegant handcrafted jewelry, Shannon is on a crusade to keep the beauty and rich traditions of the past alive in the present.

As a history and Renaissance Faire enthusiast herself, Shannon ensures that not only is every jewelry piece beautiful but period appropriate. She pours her passion into every design, which she handles from concept to creation.
Originally, Shannon began making contemporary jewelry in 2005. She quickly found that the market was saturated and, at the urging of a family member, she combined her love of history and jewelry making. She started creating jewelry for the Virginia Renaissance Faire where her mother had a tent selling her beautiful custom made hats.

Shannon’s jewelry and accessory designs are also inspired by the medieval, Elizabethan, and Victorian eras. She hopes to soon expand her collections to include additional time periods. You may also notice inspiration from your favorite period dramas like, The Tudors, The Borgias, Downton Abbey, Poldark, The Medici, The Musketeers, and Versailles.

Her work has been featured at several prominent theatres including the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington D.C., Opera Philadelphia, and productions at The Juilliard School, to name a few. You may very well have also seen one of her designs on a fellow cosplayer or Ren Faire fan at one of the Renaissance Faires or Festivals held around the country. Unmatched attention to detail and a passion that comes through in every design inspires customers to come back time and time again.

In her spare time, Shannon can be found indulging in period dramas and historical documentaries or researching her family tree. Many Moons Emporium is truly a labor of love and even in her free time, Shannon finds herself daydreaming new designs to create.

All items are skillfully handcrafted in Shannon's West Virginia (USA) studio.
